UPDATE: President Tinubu extends acting CG of Immigration’s service by three months

The President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended the tenure of the Acting Comptroller-General of Immigration, Mrs. Adepoju Carol Wuraola by three months.

The President gave the approval on Wednesday, WesternPost learnt.

WesternPost had earlier reported that the president might extend the acting CG’s tenure in order to give her the opportunity of spending beyond a day in office.

Westernpost gathered that President Tinubu is favourably disposed to extending her service being the first woman from the South West to become head of the Immigration Service.

Wuraola who was appointed the acting Immigration CG last Friday was meant to statutorily retire from service yesterday, May 31 after clocking 60 years.

With the extension of her service, Wuraola is expected to stay in office till August 31, 2023.
