Uzodimma hosts Imo Muslims to Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urges peaceful co-existence

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma has called on Nigerians and people of various ethnic and religious persuasions to strengthen bond of unity for peaceful co-existence.
The governor made the call on Saturday at the Government House Banquet Hall in Owerri when he hosted Muslim community in the state to a Sallah lunch.
The celebration had in attendance senior government officials and Christian leaders who all came to celebrate the muslim festival.
Writing on his social media handles, Governor Uzodimma called on citizens and residents of Imo to participate in the democratic process by ensuring they register to vote and collect their voters card ahead of the 2023 general elections.
“In the company of other government officials today, I hosted the Imo State Muslim community to a lunch, at the Government House Banquet Hall, in celebration of Eid ul Adha.
“It was a memorable moment, sharing in the joy of the festivity with our Muslim faithful. I could see the joy and desire for continued unity and I believe in the strength of our unity for a sustainable peaceful coexistence.
“The campaign for a better society remains holistic in approach therefore, I beckoned on all to avail themselves for the voter registration as we prepare to exercise our civic responsibility come 2023.
“Once again, I felicitate with the Muslim community in Imo State, Nigeria and the world over.”
