ValueJet becomes official airline partner for Lagos City Marathon’s 10th anniversary

Organizers of the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, Nilayo Sports Management Company Limited, have announced ValueJet as the official airline partner for the event’s 10th anniversary.

ValueJet, one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing indigenous airlines, joins a prestigious list of partners committed to maintaining the marathon’s status as Africa’s biggest road race.

With over 4,000 international athletes and more than 400 elite runners expected, ValueJet will bring its aviation expertise to enhance the event’s logistics.

Chief Executive Officer of Nilayo Sports Management Company Limited, Mrs. Yetunde Olopade, described the partnership as a major achievement, reflecting the growing confidence of corporate Nigeria in the marathon.

“We all know ValueJet has been a strong supporter of Nigerian sports, particularly football, and other disciplines. We are excited to have them on board because we share a common vision of elevating Nigerian sports,” Olopade said.

She added, “The Access Bank Lagos City Marathon has become a household name in Nigeria, Africa, and globally. Having ValueJet join us is a testament to the hard work put in over the years.”

ValueJet joins a growing list of partners, including the Lagos State Government, Access Bank, 7Up, Airtel, Kia Motors, Casio, Premier Cool, Robb, and Brila FM.

The Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, a Gold Label race, is set to take place on February 15, 2025, bringing together top sports administrators and elite runners from around the world.
