VC thanks Gov Oyetola for providing land, properties for University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun

Vice Chancellor of the newly established Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun, Prof Akeem Olawale Lasisi, has thanked Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola for providing land and donating five properties for the take-off of the institution.
Lasisi appreciated Oyetola, when he led the university’s management which paid the governor a courtesy visit in Osogbo on Monday.
Prof. Lasisi said the management team deemed it appropriate to visit the Governor and appreciate him for his efforts towards the establishment of another federal university in the State.
The VC said that the dream of the management was to lead the University to a point that all can be proud of, stressing that the institution would impact positively on the economy of Osun state and its people. He added that the members of the management team would deploy their wealth of experience and knowledge to achieve this dream.
Responding, Governor Oyetola congratulated the Vice Chancellor and other members of the management team on their appointment, which he described as well deserved.
He expressed confidence in the capacity of the team to run the University and assured them of the State government’s support towards the smooth take-off of the institution.
The governor thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for considering Osun desirable of having the Federal University which the State had been clamouring for. He also congratulated the people of Ila Orangun for the citing of the University in their domain.
He was particularly grateful that the establishment of the University came when the State government was considering upgrading the Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun to a degree awarding institution.
Other members of the team are Librarian, Bukky Olufemi Asubiojo; Registrar, Mr Kassim Kayode Babamale, and Bursar, Mr Adelani Adedayo Oyewale.
