VeryDarkMan threatens Sowore over defence of detained entrepreneur Blord

Social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has issued a stern warning to activist and politician Omoyele Sowore over his public defence of detained entrepreneur Linus Ifejirika, also known as Blord.

Blord was remanded in Kuje Correctional Centre on Wednesday, facing allegations of criminal conspiracy, impersonation, and the unauthorised use of VeryDarkMan’s identity.

Sowore had criticised what he described as the “celebration” of Blord’s incarceration and pledged to work towards having the charges dropped and securing his release.

In response, VeryDarkMan took to Instagram, expressing disappointment that Sowore chose to address the matter publicly rather than contacting him privately. He cautioned Sowore against any unauthorised use of his identity and warned that legal action would follow if such an act occurred.

The social media commentator further stressed that the case highlights how influence and wealth do not place anyone above the law.

“Dear Omoyele Sowore (@yelesho), you had every opportunity to call me as a younger brother regarding this Blord matter. Out of respect, I might have let it go if you had asked. But instead, you chose to test your strength—abi?” he wrote.

“On God, if you use my face or name to promote any business without my approval, I, Martins Vincent Otse, will send you to prison. If you doubt it, try me… you might end up begging to discontinue the case.

“Also, let it be known that in a country where people use money and connections to evade the law, Martins Vincent Otse (aka VeryDarkMan) has sent a man—widely seen as well-connected, powerful, and influential—to the Kuje Correctional Centre. Knowledge is indeed power.”
