Vice President Shettima arrives in Saudi Arabia after Dubai visit

Vice President Kashim Shettima has landed at the Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madina, Saudi Arabia.
This was contained in a statement on Thursday by Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to The President on Media and Communications, (Office of The Vice President).
On arrival, VP Shettima was received by Abdulmohsen Bin Nayef Bin Hamed, the Deputy Governor of Madina Region, along with Nigerian diplomatic officials, including Consulate General of Jeddah, Ambassador Mu’azzam Nayaya.
The Vice President is in Medina for a visit to the Holy Mosque of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and other holy sites before proceeding to Mecca where he will perform the Lesser Hajj (Umrah).
On December 20, 2024, VP Shettima is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in Jeddah.
Discussions at the meeting will centre on co-financing arrangements for the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ Phase II) as well as enhancing coordination of IsDB projects in Nigeria to support the country’s agricultural and economic development.
