Nigeria’s U-17 women side, the Flamingos have qualified for the semi final of the WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup, going on in Ghana.

The Nigerian side booked a place in the last four with one group game to spare, thanks to Cote D’Ivoires’s five nil thrashing of Niger Republic.

The Ivorian’s victory means that the Nigeriens have exited the tournament, having lost their first match 0-9 to Nigeria.

Nigeria thus stay on top of group B, courtesy of a better goals advantage, ahead of the last group game against the Ivorians.

Both teams will clash on Monday to determine who emerges the group winner.

The winner of the group will face Benin Republic, who finished as runner up in Group A behind host Ghana who will square up against the runner up between Nigeria and Cote D’Ivoire in the other semi final.
