W’Cup playoffs: 5 players arrive Eagles camp for Ghana game

The Super Eagles camp opened on Monday for their 2022 World Cup playoffs against Ghana’s Black Stars with five players.

The early arrivals are Watford’s William Troost-Ekong, Glasgow Ranger’s Leon Balogun, West Bromwich Albion’s Semi Ajayi, Torino’s Ola Aina and Brentford’s Frank Onyeka.

The Eagles are camped in Abuja for the all-important two-legged fixture which will determine who makes it to the World Cup in Qatar later in the year.

Eagles coach, Austin Eguavoen named a 30-man provisional list which is expected to be pruned to 24 for the tie.

Both West African nations were billed to face each other on March 25 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi in the first leg while the reverse fixture was billed to be played at Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on March 29.
