We must ensure Oyetola’s victory for continuity, says Osun LGSC boss

Chairman of the Osun State Local Government Service Commission, (LGSC), Elder Tunde Adedeji, has appealed to the electorate in the state to ensure victory for Governor Gboyega Oyetola in the July 16 governorship election.
This, he said, is to ensure the continuation of the current developmental strides in the state.
Speaking with newsmen in Osogbo, Adedeji stated that the state which is witnessing development in all the sectors, should not be allowed to go backward by voting incompetent person.
He noted that Governor Oyetola, had laid a good foundation for effective governance in the state and should be allow to run for second term for the state to continue to move forward.
He said: “Governor Oyetola is a divine gift to Osun at this point in time. In spite of challenges, he has been doing everything with ease of accomplishment because he has divine backing.
“You will recall that when he assumed office, there were quite a lot of challenges that could scare a feeble mind, but thank God for his exposure in the private sector and the experience he had during the eight years he served as Chief of Staff to the last administration, which really prepared him for the assignment before him.
“He is a manager of finances and that is why he was able to manage thus far the finances of this state by paying outstanding debt, and paying full salary of staff and at the same time doing some physical monumental infrastructural projects, including rural roads which are very essential.”
Adedeji also said that the Oyetola has been able to revive the economy of the state through prompt payment of full salary to civil servants.
“The governor said it severally that he had covenanted with his God to continue to pay workers’ full salaries and this has revived the state’s economy which was in comatose during the half salary regime in a predominantly civil service State.
“Other aspect of the development he had brought to the state, is that industry will be coming in very soon.
“I know quite a number of factories whose foundation have been laid in this state that will come up very soon and that will change the paradigm of the state in terms of being a civil servant state and this will also contribute to the IGR of the state.
“Oyetola has done so well and I am sure Osun people are not so daft as to discountenance the impact of his administration.
“He has effectively laid a good foundation for progressive development.
“We have got to move forward by allowing him to run his full term so that whoever will be succeeding him will not be able to reverse the gear,” he said.
