President Bola Tinubu has vowed that his administration will spare no effort in its mission to rid Nigeria of criminals and decisively defeat terrorism.

In a post on his official X handle on Friday, the President reaffirmed his government’s determination to confront insecurity and uphold national unity, stressing that security remains non-negotiable.

“We are indeed faced with terrorism — a challenge Nigeria has faced for almost two decades — and we will not back down. We will decisively defeat terrorism and claim victory in this battle. Security is non-negotiable, and we will never compromise on this principle,” Tinubu stated.

He said his administration remains steadfast in engaging international partners and championing Nigeria’s interests globally, guided by calm, clarity, and a strong sense of purpose.

The President described Nigeria as “one united family,” emphasizing that the country’s collective resolve would overcome its current challenges. “We rise together, move forward together, and reject despair in favour of determination. Our future is far stronger than any fears we may have,” he added.

Tinubu assured Nigerians that his administration would sustain ongoing reforms toward building a prosperous and inclusive nation while maintaining progress in security and economic stability.

He also called on allies and partners to stand with Nigeria in the fight against terrorism, noting that the country had made significant progress over the past two years.

The President expressed appreciation to the men and women of the armed forces and intelligence community for their sacrifices, describing their unity and bravery as the nation’s strength in the fight against terror.
