We’ll work hard to ensure every Nigerian enjoys impact of good governance, Tinubu assures Nigerians
President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring that all Nigerians benefit from excellent government in the coming years.
He made this statement on Monday during his live New Year’s address on the national network television, NTA.
This is the president’s first New Year speech since he assumed office last year on May 29.
He said his government would work towards giving every Nigerian equal opportunity to strive.
“We will work diligently to make sure every Nigerian feels the impact of their government. The economic aspirations and the material well-being of the poor, the most vulnerable and the working people shall not be neglected.
“It is in this spirit that we are going to implement a new national living wage for our industrious workers this new year. It is not only good economics to do this, but it is also a morally and politically correct thing to do.
Therefore, the president assured that his administration would fight every obstacle that impedes business competitiveness.
“I will fight every obstacle that impedes business competitiveness in Nigeria and I will not hesitate to remove any clog hindering our path to making Nigeria a destination of choice for local and foreign investments,” he said.
