Why I am still single – Ruggedman

Veteran Nigerian rapper Michael Stephens, popularly known as Ruggedman, has opened up about why he is yet to marry or have children.

In a recent interview, the 51-year-old artist revealed that he made a vow in his younger years never to have a child out of wedlock and has remained committed to that decision.

“I am not married and do not have a child yet. When I was much younger, I vowed never to have a child out of wedlock,” he said.

“Sometimes, I wonder whether I made the right or wrong decision. But still, it takes a lot from both parties. You have to do it with someone you really love.”

Ruggedman further disclosed that he had met women he believed he would settle down with, but things did not work out.

“There was a particular lady I was supposed to marry, but a wealthy man came into the picture, and her mother separated us,” he added.
