The Olubaka of Oka-Akoko, Oba (Dr) Yusuf Adebori Adeleye, OON, has clarified that the recent visit of Yoruba nation agitator Sunday Igboho to his palace was solely to pay homage.
The monarch, in a telephone interview, explained that the activist’s visit was in appreciation of the condolence delegation he sent during the burial of Igboho’s mother.
Olubaka said, “When he lost his mother, during the burial, I sent a delegation to the place, as it is normal in Yoruba culture.
“I would like to note that Sunday Igboho is a prominent Yoruba son. So, he was here to thank me for sending a very powerful delegation to the burial of his mother.
“He was here to pay homage, that’s all, and I appreciate his visit.”
