Woman recounts violent attack on husband by OPC members
Mrs. Jegede Mary Iretiayo, a Nigerian citizen residing at No. 2 Emmanuel Ogedegbe Street, Off Candos Palace, Baruwa Ipaja, Lagos, has issued a public statement detailing a harrowing incident involving her husband, Mr. Jegede Ayodele Daniel.
According to her account, on the evening of June 20, 2024, at approximately 7:45 PM, her husband was brutally attacked at their home by a group of individuals identified as members of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC). Mrs. Jegede alleges that the assailants had been monitoring her husband for a week before launching the attack, which left him with severe injuries.
Fearing for his life, Mr. Jegede fled Lagos, leaving behind his wife and their two children.
Mrs. Jegede has made this statement public for official and record purposes, and she has equally reported the case at the Police Station on the 22nd day of June, 2024 at about 0935hrs,urging the authorities and members of the public to take note of the situation and intervene where necessary.
