Yahaya Bello visits Sen. Uzor Kalu in Abuja on Boxing Day
Former governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has visited former Abia State governor and Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu.
The visit to Kalu in his Abuja residence occurred on Thursday Boxing Day.
It is believed to be a move by Bello aimed at reuniting with his friends after a long drawn face-off with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission before he eventually showed up to answer the court summons.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on November 27 2024, arraigned a former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Adoza Bello before Justice Maryanne Anenih of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT High Court, Maitama, Abuja, over alleged financial misappropriation.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
Bello was on December 19 granted bail to the tune of ₦500 million.
On December 21st, Bello was released from Kuje Custodial Centre, after perfecting the bail conditions set by the Federal High Court.
