President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State for his visionary leadership, calling him a “good thinker” and a key partner in shaping Nigeria’s future.

During his first official visit to Enugu on Saturday, President Tinubu inaugurated several landmark projects initiated by Mbah’s administration.

The projects included 30 smart green schools, 60 Type 2 primary health centers, a 19-kilometer Airport-New Haven-Bisalla and Okpara Square road network, the state’s new International Conference Centre, and a state-of-the-art command and control center equipped with 150 AI-embedded patrol vehicles.

Accompanied by prominent dignitaries, including Alex Otti, Governor of Abia State; Dave Umahi, Minister of Works; and Benjamin Kalu, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, the president lauded the infrastructural developments as critical to attracting investment and creating jobs.

“Infrastructure development is essential to attract local and foreign investment, create jobs, and build a better future,” Tinubu said. “Enugu is achieving great progress under Governor Mbah’s leadership, putting the state on the path to 21st-century development.”

“You’re a good thinker, Mbah. You’re my friend. Together, we can achieve great things—building Nigeria and building the future. Use technology to build. Promote investment. We must encourage the private sector to engage in politics,” Tinubu remarked.

In declaring the projects officially inaugurated, Tinubu reaffirmed his belief in collaborative leadership to secure a brighter future for Nigeria.

“It’s a great honor for me to celebrate this progress and recognize the value we’ve added to democracy,” he added.
