Youth Ambassadors express confidence in Ondo Amotekun Commander Adeleye

By Boye Oyeyemi –

The Ondo State Amotekun Youth Ambassadors have passed a vote of confidence in the leadership of the State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun Corps, under its Commander, Chief Akogun Adetunji Adeleye.

In a statement issued in Akure by the group’s Director of Media, Alli Oluwasanmi (Benbella), the ambassadors praised Adeleye’s commitment to community safety, describing his leadership as visionary and effective in maintaining peace across the state.

The group, which has members across the 18 local governments and 33 LCDAs, commended the corps for adopting modern security strategies, including the “See Something, Say Something” initiative that promotes real-time intelligence sharing among residents.

It also hailed the partnership between Amotekun and the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on Youth Empowerment, which enabled the distribution of smartphones to youth ambassadors for swift communication and crime reporting.

While reaffirming their loyalty to the security outfit, the group urged the corps to ensure that recently suspended officers facing misconduct allegations are brought to justice, insisting that “no leniency should be granted to anyone who betrays the trust of the people.”

The ambassadors dismissed attempts to discredit the corps, describing such efforts as “desperate ploys by agents of chaos that will not stand against Amotekun’s record of service.”

They reaffirmed their readiness to continue working with the corps to strengthen grassroots security, saying Adeleye’s leadership has made Ondo one of the safest states in the country.
