Yul Edochie supports P-Square brothers’ decision to stay apart

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has expressed his support for the P-Square brothers—Paul and Peter Okoye—stating that they should be allowed to stay apart if it brings them happiness and peace within their family.
Edochie shared his views on Instagram, backing the singing duo’s choice to remain separated if it contributes to their well-being. He emphasized that their mental health and happiness are more important than meeting public expectations.
“I see people saying, ‘Rudeboy, go and make peace with your brother,’ or ‘Mr P, reconcile with your brother,’ and I just laugh. Many people still do not understand that sometimes the real peace comes from staying apart,” Edochie wrote.
“Sometimes, even some family members need to be blocked or kept at a distance to maintain peace. Block anyone that needs to be blocked so you can have peace. Don’t look back. Fight for yourself and stay alive. It’s great to see P-Square together, but if they have to stay apart to be happy and alive, let them stay apart. We love them regardless.”
The feud between the Okoye brothers, which began in 2017, resulted in their split as each pursued a solo music career. Although they reunited in November 2021 ahead of their 40th birthday, the reconciliation was short-lived.
