2023: Eno commends peaceful conduct of PDP state assembly, reps primaries

A governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno has applauded the peaceful conduct of the party’s primaries for the State Assembly and House of Representatives across the state.
In a chat with newsmen shortly after casting his vote at Ikot Edibon, the headquarters of Nsit Ubium, Pastor Eno noted that the peace experienced across the state during the primaries was indicative of the party’s unity of purpose adding that PDP has become more of a collection of members whose sole purpose is to transform the state.
He maintained that the party has continued to remain very strong in the state with a purposeful leadership especially under the Governor Udom Emmanuel led administration.
Speaking on the emergence of Barr. Otobong Bob as consensus candidate of the party for Nsit Ubium State Constituency, the seasoned entrepreneur maintained that Nsit Ubium is the local government to beat as all the stakeholders had closed ranks for its overriding interest.
He commended party stakeholders of the LGA for prioritising the peace, unity and prosperity of the area above personal gains, stressing that it was the dawn of a new era for Nsit Ubium.
The Nsit Ubium-born entrepreneur and politician noted that Obong Paul Ekpo who had served as a National Officer and state Chairman of the party has contributed appreciably to the growth of the party in the state and nationally, adding that his victory at the Etinan Federal House primary was well deserved.
While congratulating Barr. Bob and Obong Paul Ekpo, as well as other successful candidates of the party across the state, he urged them to be magnanimous in their victories and ensure to carry everyone along ahead of the general election.
