Nigerian actor, director, and producer Femi Adebayo has earned 11 nominations out of 27 categories at the 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs).
His film received nominations in the categories of Best Lead Actor, Best Lead Actress, Best Indigenous Film (West Africa), Best Sound/Sound Design, Best Score/Music, Best Art Direction, Best Makeup, Best Writing in a Movie, Best Scripted Series, and Best Director.
This achievement follows the success of Adebayo’s six-part Netflix original series, Seven Doors, released in 2024.
Adebayo is no stranger to the AMVCAs, having been nominated multiple times and winning twice.
The AMVCAs celebrate excellence across 27 diverse categories, comprising both audience-voted awards and juried accolades, including the prestigious Lifetime Achievement and Trailblazer Awards.
Of the 27 categories, 18 are non-voting, while nine are decided by public votes.
In addition, two special recognition awards—the Lifetime Achievement and Trailblazer Awards—will be presented.
The non-voting categories will be determined by the AMVCA panel of judges, chaired by renowned filmmaker Femi Odugbemi.
