2027: Arewa group meets Afenifere, reaffirms support for Tinubu
A group under the umbrella of Arewa Think-Tank on Monday reportedly met with the national leadership of Afenifere led by Pa Reuben Fasoranti in his residence, Akure, Ondo State.

Western Post gathered that the visit was centred on promoting national cohesion, inter-regional collaboration and sustainable development.
In an atmosphere of mutual respect and candour, both delegations reaffirmed their steadfast belief that Nigeria’s greatness hinges on justice, equity and sincere dialogue among its diverse peoples.
They recognised that pressing challenges, including insecurity and economic instability, necessitate a unified, patriotic response that transcends ethnic or partisan divisions.
The Arewa Tink-Tank delegations also lauded President Bola Tinubu’s political astuteness and economic initiatives, categorically affirming their belief and support for the Renewed Hope Agenda and his stay in office beyond 2027.
The delegations said they were visiting the Pa Fasoranti to reaffirm and renewed their inter-regional collaboration, thanking the Southwest for giving Nigeria President Tinubu.
They described Tinubu as a visionary Nigerian President who has done well in the last two years.
“We are here to present the impressive Midterm score card and to reassure the Southwest of the support and co-operation of Northern Nigeria up till 2031.
However, the Yoruba socio-political organisation commended the Arewa leadership for their resolute commitment to fostering a genuine partnership grounded in truth, fairness and inclusivity.
” This revitalised collaboration builds upon the historic unity of Nigeria’s founding fathers in pursuit of a just and flourishing federation”, said Afenifere.
Both groups resolved to establish a joint framework to advance meaningful discussions on constitutional reform, national security and economic cooperation.
It gathered that the meeting concluded with both sides pledging to promote peace, harmony, and true federalism for Nigeria’s stability and unity.
Political analysts argued that the renewed Arewa-Yoruba alliance stands as a beacon of hope for a nation yearning for principled leadership and moral guidance.
