2027: D’Banj gifts Olajengbesi three Sienna buses for campaign

By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo –
Nigerian singer Dapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’Banj, has donated three brand-new Sienna buses to lawyer and Accord Party candidate Pelumi Olajengbesi to support his campaign for the Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 House of Representatives election.
D’Banj presented the vehicles to Olajengbesi in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Thursday, with the politician disclosing the development in a Facebook post on Friday.
According to Olajengbesi, the donation came as a surprise after D’Banj had contacted him about two weeks earlier to obtain the contact of the person handling his campaign branding.
He said D’Banj told him that he needed the contact to brand a vehicle for his CREAM project, which is designed for young creatives, prompting him to share the details without expecting anything in return.
“However, yesterday, I received a surprise: three fully branded Sienna buses from D’Banj in Osogbo. I immediately called him. His response was simple: ‘It’s my token of support.’
“I do not take this for granted. This is love. This is huge support. Thank you for standing with me and for believing in this journey,” he said.
The donation comes weeks after Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, endorsed Olajengbesi’s bid for the House of Representatives.
Olajengbesi served as campaign spokesperson for the re-election campaign of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke in the August 15, 2026, governorship election and is also the convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network in the state.
