2027: Obasa declares for Agege Reps seat

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has declared his intention to contest for the Agege Federal Constituency seat ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries.
Obasa made the declaration on Tuesday during a stakeholders’ meeting in Agege, Lagos, stating that leaders of the APC in the constituency had prevailed on him to join the race.
The Speaker also urged party members and supporters to back the aspiration of the immediate past Chairman of Agege Local Government Council, Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi, who is seeking to represent Agege Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
He further appealed for support for Azeez Oladapo Yusuf Ninolowo, an aspirant for the Agege Constituency II seat in the state assembly.
Obasa’s declaration is expected to intensify political activities within the APC in Agege, as more aspirants continue to express interest in elective positions ahead of the party primaries.
Supporters and loyalists of the various contenders have also stepped up mobilisation efforts across the constituency, canvassing support from party members and residents in preparation for the primaries.
