The immediate past Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has declared his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Adelabu made the declaration on Tuesday in Ibadan while unveiling a development blueprint tagged “Oyo Rebirth Agenda,” aimed at repositioning the state’s economy and creating jobs.
According to him, the agenda will focus on grassroots development, security, agriculture, social welfare, education reform, healthcare transformation, urban renewal, civil service reforms, and women empowerment.
He said governance must deliver measurable development and called for unity among APC members ahead of the 2027 elections.
Describing himself as as “a prepared leader committed to restoring progress and delivering results in Oyo State,” Adelabu noted that his administration, if elected, would bring radical change to Oyo State.
The declaration event also featured goodwill messages from party leaders, stakeholders, and support groups.
