2027: Shettima rallies northern creatives for Tinubu’s re-election

Vice-President Kashim Shettima has called on northern-based professionals in the creative industry to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 presidential election.

Shettima made the appeal on Wednesday when he received a delegation of Northern Performing Artists under the auspices of Triple-R For Renewed Hope at the All Progressives Congress campaign office in Abuja.

The Vice-President said Tinubu deserved the support of the North in the interest of fairness and national unity, assuring the group that the administration would continue to support the growth of the creative industry in the region.

He said the Federal Government was implementing policies aimed at empowering local talent, preserving cultural heritage and creating economic opportunities through the creative sector.

“President Tinubu deserves the collective support of the North,” Shettima said, adding that the region stood to benefit significantly from the administration’s creative economy initiatives.

“Hence, we urge you to remain steadfast with the government and the APC as a party. The benefits of our programmes and policies will continue to manifest across different sectors in the coming months and years,” he said.

Earlier, the Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council, Abdulaziz Yari, said Tinubu’s bid for a second term would be based on the record of the administration.

“The re-election of President Tinubu in the 2027 general elections will be based on facts and achievements,” Yari said.
