2027: Yari has capacity to deliver Tinubu’s re-election, says APC chieftain

An All Progressives Congress chieftain in Kaduna State, Yusuf Ali, has said former Zamfara State governor and senator, Abdulaziz Yari, has the political capacity, network and experience to lead President Bola Tinubu’s campaign to victory in the 2027 presidential election.

Ali said Yari’s political experience, grassroots connections and national network made him well positioned to coordinate President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign.

In a statement issued to journalists in Abuja, the APC chieftain said Yari’s rise from grassroots politics to the House of Representatives, governorship of Zamfara State and later the Senate reflected years of political experience and relationship-building.

“Yari’s emergence is not an accident of politics; it is the reward for years of loyalty, hard work, strategic networking and an understanding of how to mobilise people and manage political structures,” Ali said.

He said Yari’s previous bid to become national chairman of the APC under former President Muhammadu Buhari also demonstrated his political ambition and resilience.

According to him, although geopolitical considerations prevented Yari from securing the position at the time, the former governor continued to expand his political influence and eventually secured a seat in the National Assembly.

“I have known Senator Abdulaziz Yari from close quarters, and I witnessed his rise from the grassroots to the highest levels of political leadership,” Ali said.

“What stood out was not just ambition, but loyalty, patience, hard work and an extraordinary ability to build relationships.”
