President Bola Tinubu has congratulated former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, on his 65th birthday, praising his contributions to national development and democracy.

A statement signed by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Tinubu, described El-Rufai as a distinguished administrator, scholar, and politician. He commended El-Rufai’s resourcefulness and brilliance, noting his key role as a founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

El-Rufai served as Kaduna State governor for eight years and previously held positions as the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) from 2003 to 2007.

Tinubu highlighted El-Rufai’s efforts in shaping the APC, particularly his role in the party’s electoral victories in 2015, 2019, and 2023.
