The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has appealed to party members to remain united following the conclusion of its primary elections, urging stakeholders to work together ahead of future electoral contests.
The party made the call while congratulating Muslim faithful in Ondo State and across the country on the successful celebration of the 2026 Eid-el-Adha festival.
In a statement issued by the state Publicity Secretary, Otunba Muyide Adeyeluwa, the party described the festive period as a reminder of the virtues of sacrifice, tolerance, peace and national cohesion.
The statement quoted the state APC Chairman, Kolawole Babatunde, as saying that Eid-el-Adha provides an opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on the importance of peaceful coexistence and collective progress.
According to him, the values promoted by the festival are essential not only for national development but also for strengthening harmony and cooperation within the ruling party.
“The Eid celebration reminds us of the importance of unity, sacrifice, tolerance and peaceful coexistence. These values are critical to nation-building and the continued growth of our party,” Babatunde said.
He also commended President Bola Tinubu for promoting religious inclusiveness, democratic governance and national unity through his administration’s policies and programmes.
The APC chairman further urged members to view the recently concluded primaries as part of the party’s democratic process, stressing that all supporters must close ranks and intensify mobilisation efforts to ensure the party’s continued success.
