Wike: All Tinubu-era FCT projects to be completed before 2027

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has said all capital projects initiated under President Bola Tinubu will be completed before the end of the administration’s tenure.

Wike made the commitment during a media chat in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, while highlighting the infrastructure projects executed by the FCT Administration since Tinubu assumed office.

The minister said the administration had commissioned 107 capital projects in the FCT, with 76 already completed.

He said another 10 projects would be commissioned before the January elections, while the remaining projects would be completed before the expiration of Tinubu’s tenure.

“President Bola Tinubu’s administration commissioned 107 capital projects. We have completed 76. Before the January election, we will commission 10, and before the end of his tenure, we would have commissioned all the projects,” Wike said.

The minister also said the FCT Administration had made significant progress on projects inherited from previous governments.

According to him, 23 of the 25 projects inherited from former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration had been completed, while work was ongoing on the remaining two.

He added that six of eight projects inherited from the administrations of former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Umaru Musa Yar’Adua had also been completed.
