I’ll walk away if you criticise Tinubu in my presence — Antar Laniyan

Veteran Nollywood actor Antar Laniyan has said he would walk away from any gathering where a friend criticises President Bola Tinubu, insisting that he would not engage in conversations against the President.
Laniyan made the declaration during an appearance on the African A-List podcast, where he explained that political disagreements would not be allowed to disrupt his relationships with friends.
The actor said he would rather leave a gathering than listen to criticism of Tinubu, adding that he would maintain the position even if he personally had disagreements with the President.
“If you are my friend and while we are together, you talk against President Bola Tinubu, I will walk away because he has not been what you’re saying to me. I don’t have to support you,” he said.
“Even if he does it to me, I will not engage in the conversation, I will still walk away,” Laniyan added.
His comments come amid discussions among entertainment personalities about Tinubu’s administration and Nigeria’s economic challenges.
Fellow veteran actor Jide Kosoko had recently defended the President’s administration, arguing that the current economic hardship should not be blamed entirely on the incumbent government.
