I’m not a womaniser, Nollywood keeps me busy — Timini Egbuson
Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has dismissed perceptions that he is a womaniser, saying his demanding acting career has left him with little time to maintain multiple romantic relationships.
Egbuson made this known during an appearance on the Culture League podcast, where he explained that his lifestyle differs from what many people assume about him.
The actor said Nollywood had dominated his schedule over the past two to three years, leaving him exhausted after long days on film sets and with little time for an active romantic life.
He said he often returned home as late as 11pm after filming, making it difficult to juggle several women, unlike some of his friends.
“A lot of people assume that I’m a womaniser, right? But I’m not. In the past two, three years, Nollywood has taken over my life in a way that there’s no room, except you be the most unserious,” he said.
“Some of my guys, we get like four girls, five girls, they follow talk. I’m like, how do you find the time? From being on set all day to getting back at 11 p.m., tired, I don’t have the capacity for that, so I’m not as in the streets as people may think I am.”
Egbuson, however, said he enjoyed the attention and lifestyle associated with his public image, even as he admitted that he had largely been alone.
The actor said he sometimes took a shot of Martell at home to unwind before going to sleep alone.
