ANAN Ikeja backs professional unity, extends CRS support to orphanage

The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Ikeja Branch, has reaffirmed its commitment to professional excellence, collaboration and social responsibility through its ANAN Cares outreach to Babs Salam Orphanage Home.

The association also paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Auditor-General for Lagos State, Dr. Olufunke Omolara Tayo-Makanjuola.

The Branch chairman Mr. Ekundayo Omitaomu, FCNA, said the visit was to congratulate Dr. Tayo-Makanjuola on her appointment, commend her professional achievements and wish her success.

The visit followed the branch’s CSR outreach to Babs Salam Orphanage Home, where foodstuffs and household items were donated under the theme “Shaping Lasting Impacts Through Accountable Leadership.”

The home’s director, Alhaji Hassan Idris Tahir, expressed appreciation, saying the items would help meet the children’s needs.

Dr. Tayo-Makanjuola welcomed the delegation, describing the visit by ANAN elders and members as a great honour and thanking them for celebrating her appointment, particularly given her affiliation with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

She emphasised the importance of unity and collaboration among accounting professionals, regardless of affiliation or whether they worked primarily as accountants or auditors.

He appealed for more opportunities for members who had not attended ANAN conferences to participate, while acknowledging the support extended to members by the Office of the Auditor-General.
