The Legal Officer of Oke-Ero Local Government Area, Barrister Omoladun Elizabeth Arinde, and the Director of Personnel Management (DPM), Alhaji Musibau Amuda, have regained their freedom after being abducted.
Their release was confirmed in a statement issued on Monday by the Chairman of Oke-Ero Local Government, Hon. James Abiodun Fadipe.
It would be recalled that WesternPost had earlier reported the abduction of the two officials on Saturday by unknown persons.
In a message titled “Appreciation and Gratitude,” Hon. Fadipe expressed heartfelt thanks to Almighty God for the safe return of the duo, describing their freedom as “the Lord’s doing” and a cause for great joy and thanksgiving.
The Chairman also extended profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, CON, and the leadership of ALGON for their steadfast support during the difficult period.
He also appreciated religious leaders, traditional rulers, security agencies, political leaders, party members, DPM and LGT forums, and other well-wishers who stood by the council through prayers, encouragement, and action.
“In this moment of joy, we offer prayers for continued protection and success for all. May God grant us peace, unity, and progress as we continue to serve our people,” the statement added.
Hon. Fadipe reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to working for the peace, progress, and development of Oke-Ero.
