AbdulRazaq hails 49km BUA road project, backs Tinubu for second term

By Mosunmola Ayobami, Ilorin –

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Saturday inspected the ongoing construction of the 49-kilometre Eiyenkorin–Afon–Ojoku–Offa–Odo-Otin road, commending the pace and quality of work being executed.

The concrete road is one of four major infrastructure projects currently funded in Kwara under the federal tax credit scheme, spearheaded by the BUA conglomerate.

Governor AbdulRazaq expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for the sustained execution of tax credit projects and his broader support for development initiatives in Kwara State.

“This road is a major achievement. Once completed, it will cut travel time between Ilorin and Offa to just 30 minutes,” the governor said. “It reflects the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda. People can clearly see that these policies are delivering.”

He emphasized that the quality of the roadwork is impressive and that the infrastructure boost will benefit not only Offa and Ilorin but also adjoining communities across the state.

During the inspection, the governor received briefings from the site engineer, Abdulsalam Onaolapo, who assured that the project would be delivered on schedule despite the rainy season.

AbdulRazaq praised BUA for its role in the state’s development, highlighting similar progress on the Bode Sadu–Kaiama–Kosubosu road project, also being handled by the company.

“Who will say no to President Tinubu after seeing these kinds of investments?” the governor asked rhetorically. “The people of Kwara are fully behind the President for another term after 2027 so his developmental agenda can run full circle.”
