Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has inspected the multistorey prototype primary school in Adeta, Ilorin, describing it as a significant step in upgrading public school infrastructure alongside substantial investments in teaching quality.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the education sector this fiscal year by addressing gaps in school infrastructure and digital literacy.

He highlighted the impact of the KwaraLEARN programme, which integrates technology and best practices into learning, calling it a transformative initiative for teachers and public school pupils in the state.

“We are focusing heavily on education and healthcare this year—two critical challenges we must overcome. Through KwaraLEARN, we have introduced digital devices in classrooms to bridge learning gaps,” AbdulRazaq said.

He noted that the programme has led to a surge in public school enrollment, as many parents now prefer government schools over private institutions due to visible improvements in learning outcomes.

“This prototype KwaraLEARN school reflects our rethinking of school design and learning environments. It is the model we want to adopt for future schools, and this is just the beginning,” he added.

The governor reiterated his administration’s resolve to further strengthen KwaraLEARN, ensuring more children benefit from quality education in the state.
