Veteran Nigerian actress Jumoke George has made a public plea for help, revealing she is battling homelessness, illness, and the disappearance of her child.
In a conversation with a podcaster-turned-actress, George shared that she has been living in a church, struggling with her health, and caring for her grandchildren since her first child, Adeola, went missing four years ago.
The elderly actress expressed deep desperation, stating that she is exhausted and in constant pain, having accumulated significant debt from medical tests.
“Please pray for me, mothers of the world. Help me with your prayers. I have never ruined anyone’s life. I’m tired, I can no longer bear it,” she said.
“I don’t have a home, I don’t have anything, and one of my children is missing. My health is failing. Most times, the church mummy feeds me.”
She revealed that Adeola, her firstborn, has been missing for four years and turned 41 on May 1. “I’m the one catering for the children,” she added.
“I’ve been sick since January 2. I’ve done several tests and now need brain and heart tests that cost N400,000. I don’t know where to get the money.”
“I don’t sleep because I’m always in pain. Everything is wrong with me. I don’t understand anymore. I’ve put that child in so much debt.”
