Actress Rosy Meurer launches studio brand amid reports of marital tension

Actress Rosaline Meurer has announced the launch of her studio, Rosy Meurer Studio, a platform dedicated to telling meaningful family stories.

The actress made the announcement on Saturday via her Instagram page, noting that the idea came after a period of personal growth away from the spotlight. She explained that the studio aims to tell fresh stories and set new standards in filmmaking.

Rosy, who has featured in several Nollywood productions including Merry Men, Weekend Getaway, and The Yoruba Demon, also used the opportunity to signal her return to acting.

The studio launch comes amid growing speculation that she has parted ways with her husband, Nigerian businessman Olakunle Churchill. The rumours followed her “reintroduction” video, in which she was seen without her wedding ring and did not mention her husband.

The speculation was further fuelled by a video shared by Churchill, showing his first daughter, Rachel, playing with his son from a previous relationship with actress Tonto Dikeh. In the accompanying caption, Churchill stated that he would always choose his children, regardless of the circumstances.

Rosaline and Churchill got married in 2021 and have two children together. Their relationship began years after Churchill’s former wife, Tonto Dikeh, publicly accused Rosaline in 2017 of being involved in the breakdown of their marriage.

After years of public controversy, Churchill and Dikeh were recently seen together alongside their son, King Andre, sparking mixed reactions online.

However, it remains unclear whether Rosy and Churchill have ended their marriage, as the actress has, at various times, publicly defended their relationship.
