Governor Ademola Adeleke has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the development of Ijesaland, highlighting key infrastructural and educational strides under his leadership.
Speaking during the coronation ceremony of Prince Adesuyi Haastrup as the 41st Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, the governor announced the approval of the General Hospital, Ilesa, as the teaching hospital for the University of Ilesa.
“I reaffirm our administration’s dedication to the comprehensive development of Ijesaland. In line with our promise, Ilesa is now a university town with over 50 accredited courses. We are also strengthening internal infrastructure within the university,” Adeleke said.
He noted that the transformation of the General Hospital into a teaching hospital will position Ilesa as a hub for medical excellence and professional training.
The governor further revealed that his administration is focused on modernizing Ilesa, pointing to the nearing completion of the 12-kilometre Ereja Square–Brewery Junction dual carriageway.
“This landmark project is set to open up Ilesa like never before—both for business and tourism,” he added.
