Aiyedatiwa hosts federal lawmakers, calls for synergy to enhance state progress

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has urged federal lawmakers from Ondo to view the development, peace, and stability of the state as a collective responsibility requiring the commitment of all stakeholders.
The governor made the appeal while hosting a dinner for all nine members of the House of Representatives from the state at the Government House, Akure.
The discussions focused on fostering collaboration for the state’s development and stability, strengthening unity within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), and aligning federal and state development goals to maximise benefits from projects under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
Governor Aiyedatiwa reiterated that his administration would continue to prioritise the welfare of the people and the overall development of Ondo State above partisan politics.
He described the cooperation with federal lawmakers as “a significant win for the state,” stressing that such synergy is crucial to maintaining the momentum of progress and stability in the Sunshine State.
During the meeting, the governor briefed lawmakers on plans to mark Ondo State’s 50th anniversary, highlighting the milestone’s importance for the state.
