Aiyedatiwa, Mimiko, Tunji-Ojo, Taiwo Oyedele to lead APC presidential campaign in Ondo State

The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has constituted a 228-member Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, former Governor Olusegun Mimiko, Minister of Interior Bunmi Tunji-Ojo and Taiwo Oyedele among those appointed to lead the campaign structure.

The council is expected to coordinate and strengthen grassroots mobilisation and support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and other candidates of the party in the elections.

According to a statement signed by the state APC chairman, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, the council brings together political leaders, stakeholders, women and youth leaders, support groups and grassroots mobilisers across the state.

It is also expected to promote the Renewed Hope Agenda and further unite APC stakeholders and supporters across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State ahead of the electioneering campaign.

Aiyedatiwa was named chairman of the council, while Olaide Adelami, Olamide Oladiji, Babatunde Kolawole, Oyedele, Tunji-Ojo and Ayodele Olawamide were appointed vice chairmen I to VI, respectively.

Victor Adekanye Olabimtan will serve as director-general, with Sylvester Olumuyiwa Adu as deputy director-general. Other members include former Governor Mimiko, serving and former lawmakers, political leaders and other stakeholders.

Chief Pius Akinyelure was named chairman of the Governor’s Advisory Council, while Senator Nimbe Farukanmi will serve as chairman of the APC Elders Forum.

The council has Hon. Ola Oguntimehin as Secretary and comprises 228 members drawn from across the state. The party said its composition was aimed at strengthening its campaign structure and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
