In a bold move to advance human capital development and align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Executive Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. Olalekan Olu Akindipe, has announced the distribution of free General Certificate of Education (GCE) forms to young residents.

The initiative, unveiled this week, is aimed at removing financial barriers that often prevent talented students from pursuing their academic dreams. By covering exam registration costs, Chairman Akindipe seeks to ensure that no capable student is left behind due to economic hardship.

“This is more than just an educational gesture,” Akindipe said. “It is a deliberate investment in the dreams and destinies of our youth. Education is the passport to a better tomorrow, and in Ajeromi-Ifelodun, tomorrow starts today.”

The programme is expected to benefit hundreds of young residents, offering them a crucial stepping stone toward higher education and career opportunities. Community leaders and parents have praised the move as a game-changer in a community where financial challenges have historically hindered access to educational advancement.

However, under Akindipe’s administration, the local government has pledged to continue policies that empower residents, with a special focus on youth development. The Chairman reiterated that no ambition in Ajeromi-Ifelodun will be held back by a lack of opportunity.
