Ajia Air Force Base road to be completed in six months – Makinde

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Ajia.
During an inspection of the facility on Friday, May 2, 2025, the Governor assured that his administration would expedite the completion of supporting infrastructure for the base.
He noted that the hydraulic structures on the 21-kilometre Airport–Ajia–New Ife Express Road, with a spur to Amuloko, have already been completed.

Reiterating his administration’s vision to transform the area around the airport into an aerotropolis, Makinde pledged that the remainder of the project would be completed within six months.
He also committed to dualising the section of the road from the Ife Road Junction to the Air Force base.
