Akinbade at 70: Gov Adeleke lauds ex-SSG’s contributions to Osun

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has congratulated former Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, on his 70th birthday, describing him as a pragmatic politician with a remarkable sense of service.

In a congratulatory message signed by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke acknowledged Akinbade’s contributions to Osun State across both military and civilian administrations. He praised the Ogbagba-born politician as an astute administrator whose impact on the state remains unforgettable.

The governor commended the former SSG for his dedication to uplifting lives, advancing careers, and creating opportunities. He noted that Akinbade’s leadership as PDP Chairman, which led to the party’s victory in Osun State in the 2003 election, continues to earn him recognition.

“I celebrate a versatile politician, Alhaji Fatai Akinade Akinbade, on the auspicious occasion of his 70th birthday. Alhaji Akinbade is a man of many parts, reflecting not just excellence but also a deep commitment to humanity,” Governor Adeleke said.

“Over the years, Alhaji Akinbade has stood out as a political leader and a diligent public servant dedicated to making a positive difference in people’s lives. As he turns 70, I join family, friends, and well-wishers in appreciating Almighty Allah for the many lives he has touched and his contributions to our dear state.”

The governor prayed for Akinbade’s continued good health and sound mind, expressing hope that society would continue to benefit from his wisdom and experience in governance.
