Alaafin of Oyo eulogises First Lady Remi Tinubu at 65

The Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Engr.) Abimbola Akeem Owoade I, has congratulated the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 65th birthday, describing her as a role model whose uncommon wisdom, remarkable vision, and exemplary leadership have greatly impacted the nation.
In a statement issued on Monday through his Director of Media and Publicity, Bode Durojaiye, the Alaafin praised the First Lady for her intelligence, integrity, and unwavering commitment to service.
According to the monarch, Mrs Tinubu’s honesty, godliness, and reliability have enabled her to achieve significant milestones in both public service and private life.
“She captures the essence of truth, displays sincerity and candour, and practices what she preaches. She makes decisions, accepts responsibility for her actions, and keeps her promises. She is someone the people can rely on,” the Alaafin stated.
Highlighting her strong moral values and dedication to serving humanity, the Alaafin noted that Mrs Tinubu embodies the true qualities of leadership by prioritising service to others over personal gain.
“You are an inspiration and a fantastic role model for all those seeking to make an impact with their lives. Your leadership has meant so much to this country, and your positive influence on citizens is immeasurable,” he added.
The paramount ruler wished the First Lady many more years of fruitful service, commending her fearless leadership and unwavering devotion to the progress of Nigeria.
