All linked to Lekki mob attack will face the law – Lagos govt

The Lagos State government has promised to fish out all those involved in the mob attack which killed a sound engineer, David Sunday in Lekki.

Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso in a statement on Monday, condemned the attack.

He said the police had already arrested four suspects and were holding them at State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Panti.

“The government will address the root cause of this and similar incidents, which have caused public anxiety.

“The government asks residents to remain calm as police continue to investigate the matter.

“Lagos has no room for savagery and anybody found to have been involved in this barbarism will surely face the law.

“We condemn and will not condone any kind of jungle justice, no matter who the perpetrators are,” part of the statement read.
