AMBO denies knowledge of petition to disqualify Omisore from APC governorship race

The Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) Media Front has debunked a circulating publication seeking the disqualification of Senator Christopher Iyiola Omisore from the 2026 APC governorship race, calling it a desperate ploy by fifth columnists to create division and bad blood within the party.
The group, in a statement signed by its coordinator, Adebayo Adedeji, insisted that neither the AMBO Movement nor its principal, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, knows anything about the petition.
Adedeji also stated that there is no campaign organisation under the AMBO Movement yet, as mischievously claimed in the publication, since the APC primary is still ahead. He noted that only the party’s eventual flag bearer can form a campaign structure in line with INEC guidelines.
The AMBO Media Front described the publication as an attempt to incite bad blood within the Osun APC and weaken the party’s united determination to end what it called the state’s “lacklustre administration.”
According to the statement, “Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji holds profound respect for Otunba Omisore, just as he does for all other aspirants in the All Progressives Congress. In the APC, we are one big family bound by mutual respect and shared purpose. Otunba Omisore is an experienced politician, eminently qualified to become the Governor of Osun State.”
“We state once again that AMBO is a peace-loving personality, devoid of desperation for power, and would never descend into divisive tactics or smear campaigns that undermine the integrity of fellow aspirants. His widely acknowledged issue-based campaign remains focused on advancing the progress and prosperity of Osun State.”
The statement urged the public and party faithful to disregard the accusation entirely, noting that it does not represent AMBO or his movement.
What is baffling me now is that WHERE ARE OTHER APC GUBERNATORIAL ASPIRANTS who are beating their chests before the release of nomination form.
They have run for cover with their fake promises to Osun people .
Before , each and every one of them are claiming that President Tinubu has given them the nod to go as his anointed but now they cannot come out again talkless of spending 50 ,000,000 naira to obtain ordinary expression of interest form .
Those that cannot even win in his local government now routing to govern the state .
