AMVCA 2025: Lateef Adedimeji, Femi Adebayo win big at 11th edition

The 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards was held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Eko Hotels, Lagos.

The awards ceremony was hosted by 16-year-old David Oke and IK Osakioduwa.

The 11th AMVCAs had big winners, including Blessing Uzzi’s Freedom Way for Best Movie of the Year, Femi Adebayo for Best Actor in a Leading Role, and Chioma Chukwuka for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

The collaboration between Lateef Adedimeji and his wife, Adebimpe Adedimeji, Lisabi: The Uprising, won three out of its 11 nominations.

The continental film awards ceremony featured musical performances from Johnny Drille, Serotonin, Chima, Kunmie, and Fido.

In attendance were several entertainers from across the African continent.
