‎APC assures members of unity after Osun Reps primary

By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo –
‎
‎The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has assured members and aspirants of unity and reconciliation following the conduct of the House of Representatives primary election across the state.
‎
‎The party said it remained committed to maintaining internal cohesion through its conflict-resolution mechanisms, stressing that the outcome of the primary would not affect the unity of the party.
‎
‎Speaking with journalists at the party secretariat in Osogbo, the Osun State APC Secretary, Alao Kamoru, described the party as one united family despite the number of aspirants contesting in various federal constituencies.
‎
‎According to him, the party has established structures for resolving disagreements and ensuring that aggrieved members are reconciled after the exercise.
‎
‎“APC, especially in Osun State, is one big family. We have internal mechanisms to resolve our differences. Where there are three or four contestants, one person will naturally emerge. The party will appeal to others to remain calm because there will always be opportunities for everyone,” he said.
‎
‎Kamoru added that the party’s major focus was the forthcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15, noting that members were united in pursuing victory at the poll.
‎
‎Also speaking, the South-West Zonal Secretary of the APC, Hon. Aluko Alfred, who led the monitoring and supervising committee, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise, describing the process as peaceful and in line with expectations.
