APC Convention: South West governors adopt unity list
Governors from the South West elected under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have agreed on a Unity List for party officers from the region ahead of the national convention.
The list which was seen by our correspondent was signed by the South West governors (Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos; Dapo Abiodun, Ogun; Gboyega Oyetola, Osun; Kayode Fayemi, Ekiti and Rotimi Akeredolu, Ondo).
The governors adopted former Osun State Deputy Governor, Iyiola Omisore as the party’s National Secretary, while former Secretary to the State Government in Ondo State, Isaacs Kekemeke was adopted as the National Vice Chairman, South West.
A member of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, Dayo Israel, was also picked as the National Youth Leader, while Olufemi Egbedeyi from Oyo and Tolu Bankole from Ogun were picked as the Deputy National Auditor and the National Leader (people with disabilities) respectively.
Other party leaders adopted by the governors are: Mrs Bunmi Orinlowo (Ekiti), national ex-officio; Vincent Bewaji (Ekiti), zonal secretary; Ismail Majaro (Oyo), zonal legal officer; Mrs Yetunde Adesanya (Ogun), zonal woman leader; Lateef Ibirogba (Lagos), zonal organising secretary.
Others are zonal youth leader Kolade Lawal (Ondo), zonal leader (PWD) Mashood Erubami (Oyo) and zonal publicity secretary, Ayo Afolabi (Osun).
