The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC) has given approval for the Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign rally scheduled for Tuesday, January 17, in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital to go ahead.
There had been plans earlier to postpone the rally because of the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari, who is scheduled to travel out of the country on Tuesday to Nouakchott, where he will be honoured at the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum
The Campaign Council gave the approval for the rally to hold as scheduled at 10am, following reports that majority of APC members and supporters across the country have arrived in Ilorin, according to a statement signed by the Chairman, Local Organizing Committee, LOC, Media Committee, Alhaji Saadu Salau in Ilorin on Monday evening.
The statement commended all APC members and supporters for their loyalty and commitment for staying back in Ilorin for further clarification.
The Council assures them that all PCC members and other leaders of the party slated to attend the rally are on their way to Ilorin.
The LOC assures all members and supporters that all arrangements are intact to have a successful rally.
It urged those on their way to Ilorin to continue their journey for full participation at the rally.
